On February 4, 2025 , Indonesia issued a notice G/TBT/N/IDN/174/Add.1 through the WTO , reporting on the provisions that enterprises or institutions that have obtained halal certificates must paste halal marks on their products, and stipulates the halal label format for products certified by foreign halal certification agencies that have established mutual recognition and acceptance ( MRA ) with BPJPH ( Halal Certificate Authority for Indonesian Halal Products ) .

On January 21, 2025 , the European Commission issued the Implementation Regulations ( EU ) 2025/89 and revised the Attachment to the Implementation Regulations ( EU ) 2017/2470 , approving the full powder of the larvae treated with ultraviolet ( UV ) to be put on the market as a new type of food, and its uses include bread, cakes, pasta, processed potato products, cheese and jams. This Ordinance comes into force on the twenty days after its publication.
