According to the Official Journal of the European Union,December12, 2025, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU)2025/2505, which, in accordance with Council and European Parliament Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003, approved guanidinoacetic acid and its preparations as feed additives for drinking water for weaned piglets, fattening pigs, fattening turkeys, and turkeys raised for breeding. According to the conditions specified in the attachment, this additive is authorized as a category of "technical additives" for animal additives, and the functional group is "other technical additives". The authorized expiration date is 2036 year 1 month 1 day. This regulation shall come into effect on the twenty-first day after the date of its issuance.
