According to the Official Journal of the European Union,onJuly17, 2025, the European Commission issued Regulation (EU)2025/1402, which, in accordance with Council and European Parliament Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003, approves tea tree essential oil from Melaleuca alternifolia Cheel as a feed additive for all animals.

　　Subject to the conditions specified in the attachment, this additive is authorized as a member of the category of sensory additives for animals, and the functional group is "flavoring compounds". The authorization expiration date is 2035 year8 month6 day. This regulation shall come into effect on the twenty-first day after the date of its issuance.
