    Australia and New Zealand approved the use of vitamin K2 as an allowable form of vitamin K in special medical use foods

    According to the Australian and New Zealand Food Standards Bureau ( FSANZ ), on December 19, 2024 , the Australian and New Zealand Food Standards Bureau issued notice No. 322-24 , which approved the application No. A1300 , allowing the use of vitamin K2 as the permitted form of vitamin K in foods for special medical purposes .

    Quantum Hi-Tech's first HMOs ( 2'-FL ) have been approved by the Health Commission

    Recently, the breast milk oligosaccharide (hereinafter referred to as HMOs ) 2 ′ -fucosyl lactose (hereinafter referred to as 2 ′ -FL ) under Quantum Hi-Tech has officially been approved by the National Health Commission ( Announcement No. 6 of 2024 ) as a food nutrition enhancer, which can be used for the development of infant formula foods, larger babies, young children formula foods, special medical uses infant formula foods and milk powders (children milk powder only). This is the first approved product in the Quantum Hi-Tech HMOs series, marking a new journey towards the precise prebiotic development strategy that the company has deeply implemented.

    Recently, the National Standardization Management Committee released the ninth batch of recommended national standards plan and related standards for the 2024 foreign language version plan. There are 186 recommended national standards plans in this batch , of which 12 involve special foods, including health food raw materials Red Quote, chromium picolinate, sodium chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine hydrochloride, bat moth Chlamydia powder, Penicillium moth powder, chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine in health foods, three technical guidelines for clinical trials of specific whole nutrition formula foods , etc.

    On December 13, 2024 , the Argentina National Food Safety Commission issued 6 proposals, intending to revise the Argentina Codex Alimentarius ( CAA ). Some revisions include:   ( 1 ) It is proposed to approve the use of Luohan fruit extract as a sweetener in food, with a maximum dosage of 8g/kg ;   ( 2 ) New categories of sake product are added to the fermented alcoholic beverage standards, and the physical, chemical and quality requirements of the product are specified, such as the alcohol content is 12%-26% , the methanol content shall not be higher than 300mg/100mL , and products with seasoning substances added should be named "seasoned sake" and so on;
