According to the U.S. Federal Register, on August 12 , 2024 , the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issued Regulation No. 2024-17861 to exempt Bacillus subtilis ( Bacillus subtilis ) strain CH4000 from the residue limit .

　　According to the regulations, Bacillus subtilis strain CH4000 is exempt from residue limits in or on all foods when used in accordance with label instructions and good agricultural practices.

　　This provision will take effect from August 12 , 2024 , and objections or requests for hearings must be submitted before October 11 , 2024 .
