The European Union approves 6- phytase produced by Aspergillus oryzae DSM 33737 as a feed additive for fattening poultry and other species

According to the Official Journal of the European Union, on September 3 , 2024 , the European Commission issued Regulation ( EU ) No. 2024/2177 , in accordance with Regulation ( EC ) No. 1831/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council, approving 6- products produced by Aspergillus oryzae DSM 33737. Phytase is used as a feed additive for all poultry species used for fattening or rearing for egg production and reproduction, sows of all Suidae species and all finfish species.

  According to the conditions specified in the annex, this additive is authorized as an animal additive in the category "Technical Additive" and in the functional group "Digestive Enhancer". The authorization end date is September 23 , 2034 . These Regulations shall take effect on the twentieth day from the date of promulgation.
