According to Food Standards Australia and New Zealand ( FSANZ ), on August 12 , 2024 , Food Standards Australia and New Zealand issued Notice No. 299-24 , including application No. A1306 , applying for chitosan ( Chitosan ) extracted from Agaricus bisporus as a Processing aids.

　 According to the notice, the chitosan is used in the production of wine, beer, cider, spirits and other alcoholic beverages.
