On November 27, 2024 , the Swiss Federal Gazette website issued Announcement No. 701 of 2024 , revising the Regulations on the Use of Food Signs of Origin. The main content is to revise Schedule 1 of the Regulations (a list of foods that allow and prohibit the use of Swiss food origin identification), and list chickpeas, nuts, cocoa, coffee, black tea, some aquatic products and other foods that cannot be self-sufficiency or have low self-sufficiency rates in Switzerland. Enter the list of foods that prohibit the use of Swiss food origin identification.

　　The revision will come into effect on January 1 , 2025 .
