The regulations stipulate that honey must undergo mandatory safety testing, covering heavy metals(≤1.0mg/kg, arsenic ≤0.5mg/kg, cadmium ≤0.005mg/kg), pesticide residues(DDT ≤0.005mg/kg, DDT and its metabolites ≤0.005mg/kg, other pesticide residues shall not be detected), veterinary drug residues(chloramphenicol and others14drugs shall not be detected, ametryn ≤100mg/kg, carbendazim ≤50mg/kg, coumaphos ≤20mg/kg), physical and chemical indicators(moisture<20%, reducing sugar ≥65%, hydroxymethyl furfural ≤25mg/kg) and sensory characteristics(no fermentation odor, color transparent to dark brown), and it is required that the processing process is free of chemical treatment or excessive heating(>42℃/24 hours), storage and transportation must be in dedicated anti-pollution containers. Honey identification requires three-fold verification through document review, sensory inspection, and laboratory testing, and the label must indicate the source and processing method(such as "centrifugal honey", "filtered honey"). Qualified assessment adopts theHACCP system, including veterinary inspection, production control(including key control point monitoring), and government supervision, and recalled non-compliant products must be destroyed. The manufacturer is responsible for the quality of the entire process, and violators will bear civil liability and legal responsibility, and government agencies will establish a traceability system from the apiary to the sales terminal, especially requiring cross-border honey to comply with the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union, to ensure compliance with the entire industry chain.
