On December 4, 2024 , the European Food Safety Agency ( EFSA ) issued the public consultation document No. PC-1228 , intending to authorize the extraction of microgreen chorizolide oil as a new type of food . The main contents are as follows:

　　( 1 ) This new type of food is intended to be used as a food supplement in gel capsules for general populations to be consumed as a supplement;

　　( 2 ) The maximum daily intake is 312.5 mg (equivalent to 5.21 mg/kg );

　　( 3 ) The feedback period ends on December 25 , 2024 .
