EU assesses the safety of yellow tomato extract as a new food

   2025Year5May14DayAccording to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the European Union Nutrition, Novel Food and Food Allergens (NDA) panel has issued a scientific opinion on the safety of yellow tomato extract () as a novel food.

  After assessment, the expert panel concluded that the proposed use conditions would result in a safe novel food, lycopene extract from yellow tomatoes.
