According to the official EU communiqué, on December 19, 2024 , the European Commission issued Regulation ( EU ) No. 2024/3167 , and approved the vitamin B12 produced by CGMCC 19596 as a feed additive for all animals according to the European Parliament and the Council Regulations ( EC ) No 1831/2003 .

　　According to the conditions specified in the annex, the category of such additives authorized as animal additives is "nutritional additives" and the functional group is "vitamins, provitamins and chemically clear substances with similar effects". The authorization end date is January 8 , 2035 . This Regulation shall come into force on the 20th day from the date of its publication.
