On September 16 , 2024 , Ecuador plans to revise the technical regulations on special foods , and the feedback period ends on November 15 , 2024 . The main contents are as follows:

　　( 1 ) Application documents for imported special foods (special dietary foods, infant foods, special medicinal foods, etc.) must provide the following content in Spanish: label samples and related introductions, written descriptions or procedures of the product's production process, batch number interpretation, etc. content;

　　( 2 ) Product nutrition claims and health claims must provide scientific basis from official sources in English or Spanish;

　　( 3 ) Imported products need to provide: free sale certificate, health certificate, label, and registration certificate officially issued by the exporting country; organic food also needs to provide a registration certificate;

　　( 4 ) Requirements for foreign factories to apply for GMP certification approval. Comes with a copy of the GMP certificate or food safety certificate certified by the Ecuadorian Consulate .
