On July 2 , 2024 , the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries issued Notice No. 9488 , the "Guide to Food Supplements". The main contents include the definition and classification of food supplements (foods that concentrate on supplementing minerals, vitamins and other nutrients, divided into liquid, powder, capsule, tablet (tablet) and other products according to their form), general product requirements (should comply with the provisions of EU Directive 2002/46/EC ), domestic or imported food supplements should submit product names, ingredients, labels, manufacturers or importers and other information to the Veterinary and Food Authority for filing before entering the Danish market for sale and circulation, special requirements for food supplement labels (such as the name and content of characteristic nutrients, recommended daily intake, maximum daily intake in the form of warnings, indicating "the product cannot replace a normal diet", not allowing the label to imply that a normal or diversified diet cannot meet nutritional requirements, the order of labeling of various nutrients on the label, etc.), import and export management of food supplements, penalties, etc.
This announcement shall take effect from the date of its publication.
