On December 5, 2024 , the Czech Ministry of Agriculture issued a number of new laws, effective from July 1 , 2025 . The specific content is as follows:

( 1 ) Canned honey must have a country of origin label. If the honey is a mixture, all countries of origin must be marked in descending order on the packaging and indicate the percentage of its content in the mixture;

( 2 ) The draft regulations for beverages, fermented vinegar and yeast requirements will introduce some new definitions for juices, concentrated juices and coconut juices. As far as syrup goes, you need not only sugar but other natural sweeteners now;

( 3 ) There have been new changes in the terms jam and marmalade. Previously, "marmalade" could only be used for products made with citrus fruits, while "marmalade" is suitable for natural sweeteners, pulp, or mixtures of one or more fruit pulp. The new directive allows jams to also use the name "orange jam", which is stipulated by the Act on pickling fruits;

( 4 ) The storage temperature conditions of eggs will also be adjusted from 5 ° C to 24 ° C , while the previous upper limit is 18 ° C ;

( 5 ) The statute on the requirements of meat, meat products and aquatic products stipulates the specific characteristics of certain meats, meat products and aquatic products (such as lamb or sausage). Only when the requirements are met can it be possible to voluntarily label these names, etc. on the product.
