Canada approves maltose alpha - amylase from Saccharomyces cerevisiae LALL-MA+ for use in bread and other foods

On September 6 , 2024 , Health Canada issued document M-FAA-24-10 , which intends to revise the list of food enzymes allowed to be used and approve the use of maltogenic alpha-amylase from Saccharomyces cerevisiae LALL-MA+ . In bread, flour, whole wheat flour and non-standardized bakery products.

  This revision will take effect from September 6 , 2024 .
