On December 2, 2024 , the Brazilian National Health Supervision Agency ( ANVISA ) issued Document No. INNo336 , revising the regulations on the use of food supplements, and implementing it from the date of publication. Main content:
( 1 ) Annex I can be used in the ingredient list of food supplements, changing the name of the active substance "anthocyanin" to "moro anthocyanin";
( 2 ) Allowed to be used for liquid electrolyte supplement ingredients with potassium content ≤ 700mg/L and sodium ≤ 1150mg/L . Only adults over 19 years old are allowed to use, excluding pregnant women and breastfeeding women; the maximum daily consumption of cranberry proanthocyanin is 39mg ;
( 3 ) The label of hydrolyzed beef protein must show the warning that "pregnant women, lactating women and children should not be eaten"; the label of Lactobacillus rhamnosus should show the warning that "pregnant women, lactating women, infants, children, people with low immune function or people with serious diseases should show the warning that "pregnant women, lactating women, children, people with severe illness should not be eaten."
