On December 11, 2024 , the Brazilian National Health Supervision Bureau issued the consultation documents No. 1299 and 1300 , intending to revise the standards and regulations on the use of food additives . The feedback period is as of February 17 , 2025 . The main content is the use requirements for the addition of two types of food additives such as acetic acid (glacial acetic acid) in some foods, as shown in the table below.
