On August 30 , 2024 , the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply ( MAPA ) issued Resolution SDA/MAPA No. 1173 , proposing to amend the technical regulations on the quality and characteristics of fruit juices and pulps and their derivatives (i.e. Normative Regulation No. 37 of 2018 Directive), the feedback period ends on October 14 , 2024 .

　　The main contents of the revision are: delete the minimum content limit of total sugar in fruit juice products and add a maximum content limit of 14g/100g in Annex 1 (Physical, Chemical and Quality Standards of Products); delete the minimum limits of pH and total acidity of pulp products and add a new Maximum limit value ( pH up to 4.5 , total acidity up to 0.5g/100g (based on citric acid content)).
