Australia and New Zealand use triacylglycerol lipase from genetically modified Pfaffian yeast as a processing aid solicit opinions

On September 6 , 2024 , the Food Standards Agency of Australia and New Zealand ( FSANZ ) issued Notice No. 305-24 , including application No. A1301 , soliciting opinions on a triacylglycerol lipase ( Triacylglycerol lipase ) as a processing aid .

According to the notice, the triacylglycerol lipase is produced by the genetically modified yeast Phaffia colima and is used in the processing of bread and bakery products. The deadline for comments is 6pm (Canberra time ) on 18 October 2024 .
