On September 23 , 2024 , Argentina plans to revise the Codex Alimentarius , and the feedback period ends on October 23 , 2024 . Main content:
( 1 ) Amend Article 235 of the Food Code . General food labels are prohibited from stating that the product has medicinal properties or therapeutic effects. Nutritional information must indicate the name and content of ingredients; the product name of dietary supplements uses the form of nutritional ingredients + dietary supplements. , secondary packaged dietary supplements must have batch, expiry date and brand; the labels of all dietary supplements must indicate how they are to be consumed, with specific warnings: Keep out of the reach of children; recommendations based on label requirements must not exceed daily recommendations Intake, etc.;
( 2 ) Article 912bis of the Food Code adds the definition of dried apple pomace. The physical characteristics and microbiological standards are as shown in the table below;
( 3 ) Article 1102-2 of the Codex Alimentarius adds the definition of partially dealcoholized wine to fermented beverages. The alcohol content of wine after partial dealcoholization is 0.5%-20% . The definition of dealcoholized or non-alcoholic wine has an alcohol content of < 0.5% .
