To implement the Several Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Carrying Out the "Three Products" Special Action of the Consumer Products Industry and Creating a Good Market Environment, and to strengthen the promotion of high-quality light industrial products, boost consumer confidence,March31, 2025, the Department of Consumer Products Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized the China Light Industry Federation to hold a press conference in Beijing on the theme of "Innovation Leading New Quality DevelopmentUpgrading and Strengthening People's Light Industry". Relevant responsible persons from various light industry industry associations, and representatives of some selected enterprises, totaling150people attended the meeting. 

At the meeting, the main responsible comrades of the Consumer Products Industry Department fully affirmed the important role of the light industry in stabilizing growth, promoting consumption, and benefiting people's livelihoods. They emphasized the need to thoroughly implement the work deployment of the government work report to "vigorously boost consumption and expand domestic demand," insist on creating and leading new consumer demands with high-quality supply, and support the continuous and stable development of China's industrial economy.

To accelerate the construction of a high-quality supply system, promote the transformation and upgrading of the light industry, and achieve the2025 of stabilizing growth, the head of the Consumer Products Industry Department has put forward four aspects of work requirements: First, maintain strategic determination and gather the strength of the entire industry to implement the《Stabilizing Growth Work Plan for the Light Industry》, and continue to consolidate and enhance the stable and improving trend of the light industry. Second, deepen the integration of digital and real economy, promote the empowerment of digital technology to the full elements and the whole process of product design, process equipment, production management, etc., and cultivate new productive forces. Third, strengthen the adaptation of supply and demand, increase the supply of green and intelligent household appliances, intelligent service robots and other high-quality products, and expand a number of high-growth consumer tracks. Fourth, strengthen the leadership of standards, accelerate the improvement of the standard system in key areas such as product safety, quality upgrading, and green environmental protection, and promote the quality revolution of light industry products with high standards.
