According to the Official Journal of the European Union,onFebruary19,2026,the European Commission published Regulation (EU ) 2026/353 of the European Parliament and of the Council (EC No 1831/2003 ) approving L-glutamic acid and L-glutamic acid hydrochloride -hydrate as feed additives for all animals.

According to the conditions specified in the annex, this additive is authorized as an animal additive belonging to the category "nutritional additives", functional group "amino acids, amino acid salts and their analogues" and additive category "sensory additives", functional group "flavouring compounds". The authorization expiry date is2036year3month11day. This regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day after its publication.
