According to the Official Journal of the European Union,onFebruary19,2026,the European Commission published Regulation (EU ) 2026/353 of the European Parliament and of the Council (EC No 1831/2003 ), approving L-glutamic acid and L-glutamic acid hydrochloride -hydrate produced by Bacillus subtilis KCCM 80389

According to the conditions stipulated in the annex, this additive is authorized as an animal additive belonging to the category "nutritional additives", the functional group "amino acids, amino acid salts and their analogues", and the additive category "sensory additives", with the functional group "flavouring compounds". The authorization expiry date is2036year3month11day. This regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day after its publication.
