On December 18, 2024 , Denmark issued Government Gazette No. 10153 , the new version of the Food Microbial Standard Guidelines. This guide describes how to use microbial standard rules in food production , other requirements for microbial quality, microbial standard sampling plan, microbial standards for Listeria in ready -to-eat food , etc. The main contents are as follows:
( 1 ) The product must be classified into various food categories in the Microbial Regulations based on whether it is ready-to-eat food. Companies importing food from third countries must record whether the microbial standards meet the requirements during inspections, etc.;
( 2 ) Companies that produce dry infant formula or special medical dry foods for infants under 6 months of age must monitor the presence of E. coli in the processing area and equipment if there is a risk of Cronospermia, and use this as part of the sampling plan, etc.;
( 3 ) Meat products must be indicated on the packaging that the product must be thoroughly heat-treated. Danish importers and other food companies must require their foreign suppliers to ensure that all batches of fresh and ground chicken sold in Denmark are tested before shipment from the country of origin and do not contain salmonella, etc.;
( 4 ) This guide will be implemented from the date of its publication, and Guide No. 9774 (i.e., the original food microbial standard) issued on June 30 , 2022 will be abolished.
